This is Mike Garcia's dissertation webtext, launched in September 2007 and due for completion in May 2009.
Use the Table of Contents on the left to browse and comment on the different sections of the dissertation draft, as well as the annotated bibliography and other process documents. You can leave comments on an individual paragraph or on a whole section by clicking the appropriate icons in the section. Also, if you click General Comments in the sidebar to the right, you can leave a general comment on the whole project.
To prevent spam, first-time comment authors must be approved. Your first comment won't appear until you've been approved — please excuse the delay. After that, every post you make will be automatically approved with no delay.
From time to time, I'll post a new draft of a section. In order to keep the Table of Contents uncluttered, the old draft will go into an archive, along with its comments. Don't worry: your thoughtful comments will not be deleted. Whenever I post a new draft, the archived ones will be linked.
Admittedly, this system necessitates a fairly rigid draft process. If you like to see more fluidity, visit the Ungrading blog, which will include the full drafts posted here as well as everything else I'm kicking around, whether it's part of the actual text or not.
Have fun!
